CARLISLE PROJECT

This was a decorating project for a client who works with fashion and has a very unique style - and we love it!

They bought the house a couple of years ago and decided to redecorate it completely. From the foyer to the bedrooms, everything was created with a purpose and a story behind it.

The client loves thought-provoking art, a mix of contemporary and vintage, fashion and thrifting. Everything we love, too!

Her office

She works with fashion and content creation, so she needed a functional, stylish, and inspiring space to work.

We placed the desk in the center of the room so she can enjoy the view of her beautiful backyard. To the left of the window, we added a pegboard where she can pin her kids’ photos and her to-do post-its.

We also left an open area in front of her desk so she can use the mirror to show her outfits, create content, and have a blank canvas to work with.

The back wall features photos of the fashion icon who inspires her, along with plenty of storage and a shallow shelf to display books, magazines, and art.

A hanging rod for clothing helps her organize the outfits she’ll be sharing without having to go back and forth to her closet. Inside the tall cabinet, we added shelving to store her printer, paperwork, and office supplies.

Living Room & Dining Room

This client appreciates art from a unique perspective. She loves repetition, thought-provoking pieces, and unexpected details.

Her living room built-ins hold a collection of white vases, which I found fascinating. We complemented this with contemporary furniture, classic wall moldings, and a touch of vintage wallpaper

They have twins, so fabric choice was extra important. We focused on options with stain resistance, easy cleaning, and high durability to make sure these pieces can grow with the kids.

The glass cabinet and fireplace built-ins came with the house, and since they were well done, we decided to keep them. To tie everything together, we introduced dark accents that connect beautifully with these features.

Twin's Bedroom

They each had their own bedroom, but they love sleeping together and sharing a space. The idea was to create a room where they can be together, but still have their own little worlds and personalities showing through.

The boys love collecting their schoolwork and showing it off in their room, so we suggested a frame that holds multiple pages — they can switch them out whenever they want, and it also works as storage. Each of them has their own set above the bed, plus a bookshelf and toy storage by the side.

The family loves to travel and the parents want to share the world with their little boys. We added a wooden map on the wall so they can pin all the places they’ve been together.
