THE QUEEN ST
PROJECT
After living in their home for over 15 years, it was time for a change. We redesigned the kitchen, primary bathroom, laundry, and powder room.
The house is still under construction, and we can’t wait to see — and share — the final results!
We’re also updating the carpet and hardwood throughout, along with painting every room. A true freshen-up for this home!

Client's Experience

BEFORE PHOTOS

In the kitchen, they had a very small island, but the overall layout still worked well for them. The cabinets and finishes were dated — after all, this kitchen was over 20 years old.

KITCHEN - PROPOSED LAYOUTS
The second phase of our design process is when we explore layout options and design concepts. In this project, the clients were debating whether to demolish the wall between the dining room and kitchen.
This was their existing floor plan:

We created a proposed floor plan to show them what the space would look like with the wall opened up, and to help them weigh the pros and cons.

Then we walked them through our preferred layout, where we partially opened the wall — keeping plenty of storage while still giving them the island and openness they were looking for.

The clients loved this balanced option and decided to go ahead with it. This is how the kitchen will look by the end of 2025!

PRIMARY BATHROOM
The primary bathroom had a tiny prefab shower and a tub that took up half the space. And we don’t even need to talk about the finishes, right?!

We replaced the corner tub with a deck tub, saving space and making room for a larger shower.

The vanity now has a tall cabinet for extra storage — it’s never too much, don’t you agree?
